A Love That Never Leaves: For Olympia

“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.” – Anatole France

Dear Olympia,

It’s been a week, yet I am still sobbing and bawling as if time refused to move forward. Losing you is the saddest moment of my life this 2025—a pain so deep it feels woven into my breath. You were the best thing that ever happened to me. Every corner of this room carries your vestige—your presence lingers in the silence, in the light, in the way my heart still looks for you.

I promise you this: I will be a better mom for your Seven Furr The World siblings. They miss you so much—especially Thirteen and Seoul. I feel their grief alongside mine, their little bodies carrying sorrow that words cannot explain, even feeling feverish from the weight of missing you. Please, my love, let your gentle spirit touch them. Heal them. Let them feel your comfort and know that you are safe, wrapped in God’s wings, watching over us all.

Please take my scent with you to heaven, wrapped in that towel you loved so much, so you will never feel alone wherever your wings carry you.

I carry you with me in every memory, every lesson, every quiet moment. You changed my life, Olympia. You always will.

A Prayer

Heavenly Father,

I entrust Olympia to Your eternal care. Surround her with Your angels, let her rest in perfect peace, and let her light remain close to us. Send Your angels to guard Thirteen and Seoul—bring healing to their bodies, calm to their hearts, and comfort to our home. Let love be stronger than grief, and hope rise gently each day. Amen.

I love you forever, my angel. Until we meet again.
